Remember Alicia’s maternity session? Emitt Rhys finally arrived at the end of January. At 9 pounds, 5 ounces he was an adorable chunker. We got to photograph him at 5 days old. He was so good to us that day, and I hear from Alicia that he’s a pretty chill little dude.

Emitt’s nursery is amazing. It’s Pirate themed!!! It really is one of those nurseries you’d expect to see in a design magazine . I cannot express how awesome it was to be able to work within such a fun space. Below is the shot Alicia and I discussed while she was still pregnant….

No treasure chest is complete without gold coins.  (p.s.- they’re chocolate, from the bulk barn)

I love all the details of Emitt’s room. Alicia, her husband and family did such a beautiful job.

Emitt’s Aunt created the amazing map of Neverland.

It took about 2 hours but Emitt did indeed fall asleep so we were able to get lots of sleepy poses.

When Alicia mentioned the pirate theme, I knew we had to use our vintage barrel.
