Egg Hunts & Pink Shirts {Easter 2012} – Guelph Children and Baby Photographer
Our Easter was exhausting. As in, our toddler consumed close to her weight in chocolate and we spent most of the day dealing with the consequences of that. When the kids woke up, they found the goodies left by the Bunny. And so started the indulging. My Mom made us a fantastic lunch which was followed by the annual Easter egg hunt. Then Mattea snuck more chocolate and we sat around and watched her bounce off the walls. Dash was the opposite and took a big 3 hour nap after lunch. A couple days before I found that pink t-shirt on clearance at Baby GAP. I asked the nice salesgirl if I would be a bad mom for dressing my son in pink, but we decided together that he could totally pull it off.
As crazy and exhausting as the day was, it was nice to just sit around and enjoy my my time with loved ones and my kids…chocolate high and all.

Half A Year – Guelph Baby Photographer
Dash is 6 months old today.
What the heck?! I can’t believe it. It doesn’t feel like it’s been 6 months since he’s joined our family.
5 Facts about Dash:
- He’s big. I’d guess 17 lbs+. To put in in perspective, Mattea weighed 18 lbs at ONE YEAR. He’s got a long torso and short legs, just like is sister too. He’s currently in 12 month sleepers and 12-18 month shirts.
- He’s a cuddler. He’s happiest when being held. Am I turning him into a Momma’s Boy? …….. ?
- He’s a sensitive guy. Loud noises upset him like none other.
- He’s a bit of a firecracker. He’s the easiest going baby, EXCEPT, when he’s hungry or tired. I’ve never heard a set of lungs on a baby until I had Dash angry about not getting fed. Wowszers, can that boy scream.
- He loves Mattea. Like REALLY loves her. I often catch him smiling and making googly eyes at her. She’s the coolest person in his life.
Happy Half-A-Year Birthday to our baby Dashie!
My-Two Mondays
MATTEA – I appreciated you staying still for 0.002 seconds so I could get some photos of your super cute outfit. Sweater by Old Navy, Blouse by H&M, Pants and Boots from Joe Fresh.
DASH – 4 months old – You still like the jumperoo, even after it’s been here for many weeks. This is wonderful because it means my arms get a break for 20 minutes several times throughout the day.

Emitt is ONE! – Guelph Baby & Cake Smash Photography
Last year when I saw Emitt, he looked like THIS. The difference between newborns and their one year old selves is crazy!
Emitt’s mom is my dream client: she has an idea and we work together to make it happen. She is so talented and ridiculously amazing at multitasking. I called her the night before his session, and she was telling me about her desire to get the texture in the icing perfect, and also nonchalantly mentioned her plans to make his custom diaper cover later that night….from scratch…by finding a sewing pattern online.
We had planned to do much of his session outdoors, but mother nature had different ideas. It was pouring rain so the studio came in handy. He was a happy guy, and the session was easy. Thanks to his mom and Oma for playing “catch the running baby”. I know you were both sweating but I appreciate the help! I think we got some awesome photos that really illustrate just who Emitt is at one year: happy, usually smiling and very fashion forward.
Baby C: Guelph Newborn Photography
Jake and I actually did this little guy’s session back in November, but with the craziness of opening the new place I didn’t post anything until now. At 5 days old, he was perfect. In fact, baby boy C is the reason we now only offer newborn sessions for babies 10 days or younger. All he did was eat, and then fall back asleep. He made posing a breeze. As I was taking the shot of him and his dad together, he woke up and peed all over the place. Our first official newborn accident! For the new studio, we’ve got a bunch of these images framed and up on the walls.
Does anyone else see the RED hair?! So very adorable!
Feren & Lee, thanks a bunch for letting us come over to photograph your new little guy. He was an absolute dream baby!
baby L – Brampton Newborn Photography
Baby L was a total sweetheart! At 16 days old I was worried she might not sleep, but after Dad worked his magic, she conked out and we got some great poses. She had such gorgeous skin that I didn’t have to do any fixing. L’s parents, Lisa and Peter, have such a bright, beautifully decorated home. It made getting those natural light shots very easy.
Lisa and Peter, thank you so much for letting us come photograph little L. She is such a gem! Your disc is on its way
the C family sneak peek – Guelph Family Photography
Kara and I connected back in the summer and after rescheduling a couple times and then being rained out, we were able to have the session last Friday. We picked a great time of year as the fall colours were perfect! Not only are they such a gorgeous family (see below!), they’re incredibly friendly and laidback. With two little boys we tried to make the session as fun as possible and kept things moving. Kara and Adam had a great idea of bringing their iPod and speakers along for distraction. The little guy, C, loves music and I caught him bouncing to the beat a couple times. Older brother, H, did so well the entire session. However, I knew it was time for he photography to be over when at the end of the session near the fountain I casually asked H for a smile and got, “Umm, NO”. Point taken
Seriously. Gorgeous.Family.
H has got some killer blues! That’s all him, no photoshopping there
Doesn’t this photo just make you want to take little C home?? So adorable!
Kara and Adam, it was so nice to finally meet you and your boys! I had such a great time photographing your family. I hope you love your photos, and your disc will be ready soon.

Ok, so it’s not entire wordless but I have to point out M’s expression in the last photo. Not too sure about her first time going down the slide.
